Departing Helsinki in -15°C. The first leg across the Baltic and the transition to the Swedish rails.

Crossing Germany at 300km/h. Christmas markets, night trains, and the first glimpse of the French border.

Descending through the Pyrenees to the Spanish coast. 4000km completed. The Mediterranean welcomes us.

Starting the journey in frozen Helsinki. The air is crisp, and the Arctic wind is no joke. Just stepped off the ferry, heading towards the central station for the first leg of the rail adventure.
6 DEC 2026
Night train through Sweden. The landscape is a blur of white and deep blue. Sleeping in a narrow bunk while the rhythmic clatter of the tracks hums beneath. Germany is next.
9 DEC 2026
Strasbourg Christmas markets are incredible. The contrast from the Arctic silence to the bustling, spiced-wine scented streets of France is palpable. Taking a moment to breathe before the high-speed run to Nimes.
11 DEC 2026
Barcelona arrived. The temperature has climbed 20 degrees since I started. Mediterranean vibes are setting in. The race to Alicante is almost over. One more train to go.
